The Metropol Parasol is the new landmark of the Spanish City of Seville
The huge, mushroom-shaped elements not only provide Seville with shade, but also have other attractive uses: The new landmark of Seville is located in the middle of the historic city center and its cellar is home to an archeological museum. Above this is a market hall and a restaurant. The fourth level offers a panoramic tour on the roof structure with a wide view over the rooftops of the historic city center.
With the design of the Plaza de la Encarnación in Seville, the architects have developed a contemporary monument that defines entirely new spaces in a city that has come into its own.
